University Hospital at Downstate Welcomes First Baby of 2023

Congratulations to Houssainatou Barry and Ibrahima Barry on the birth of their beautiful baby girl. Baby Barry joined us in Brooklyn at 11:40 AM on January 1, weighing 6 pounds, 9.5 ounces, and measuring 19.5 inches long. The new family received a basket of goodies and posed for pictures with their bundle of joy and some of the Downstate team who joined in delivering the baby girl.
I send a special thanks to our amazing Labor & Delivery team for delivering a healthy baby to start the new year!
