The Inauguration of Wayne J. Riley MD, MPH, MBA, MACP

SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University celebrated the Inauguration of its 17th President, Dr. Wayne J. Riley, MD, MPH, MBA, MACP, on September 15, 2017.

The Chairman of the State University of New York, H. Carl McCall, and SUNY Chancellor Kristina M. Johnson, presided over the ceremony and conducted the official installation. The keynote introductory speech was delivered by the Honorable Dr. Louis W. Sullivan, former Secretary of the U. S. Department of Health and Human Services, President Emeritus of Morehouse School of Medicie, and Chairman of the Sullivan Alliance to Transform the Health Professions.

The Downstate community, along with a broad cross section of elected and civic representatives, members of academia, the community, the health sector, and friends of the campus were invited to mark the occasion.
