The SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University Institutional Review Board & Privacy Board (Downstate IRB) is a committee established to review and approve human research. The purpose of the Downstate IRB is to ensure that all human research is ethically conducted in accordance with all applicable regulations and policy, while protecting the rights and welfare of research participants.
