The mission of the Brooklyn Health Equity Institute is to develop, inform, and implement models to advance health equity in populations that have been historically marginalized in Brooklyn and beyond through research, community collaboration, health equity training, and advocacy.

The Clinical Research Training Program (CREST) Phase II aims to support diverse clinician-scientists in strengthening research capacity and reducing health disparities in Brooklyn by providing up to $50,000 in pilot grant funding for mentored clinical and translational research projects that generate preliminary data for NIH funding applications.
An enriching summer research program that provides junior faculty with didactic courses in health disparities, diversity, community based participatory research, study design, working with and presenting data, research ethics, grantsmanship skills and academic career development.
