Community Connect is a free, online platform that brings together community-based organizations, academic partners, funders, and supporters to collaborate, share resources, and strengthen community health.

Built in partnership with SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University, QuizToo, Inc., the Arthur Ashe Institute for Urban Health, and the Brooklyn Health Disparities Center, Community Connect is designed to make collaboration easier and more impactful.

Whether you're looking to co-write a grant, evaluate a program, host a community event, or simply connect with others doing similar work, this platform is here to support you.

Through Community Connect, you can:

  • Ask questions and exchange ideas with a broader community of non-profits

Seeking Community Based Organization Feedback

SUNY Downstate is developing Community Connect, a free online platform designed to help community-based organizations (CBOs) build partnerships, access funding opportunities, and strengthen their programs.

To ensure the platform truly reflects the needs of CBOs in today’s environment, we’re inviting CBO staff to complete a brief, confidential survey (approx. 15 minutes).

Science Cafés

The Cafes will serve as a venue for a promoting research literacy via a new 16-week program where  partners receive training on principles of neighborhood based participatory research and grantsmanship. The Cafes will be led in partnership with the Arthur Ashe Institute for Urban Health, a nationally renowned network of organizations.
