Changes to NYS Payroll Online (NYSPO)

To the Downstate Community,
Please read this important update regarding NYS Payroll Online (NYSPO):
- Someone attempting to obtain access to employees’ NYS Payroll Online (NYSPO) accounts created fake websites impersonating NYSPO’s Login.
- Users entering “NYS Payroll Online” in search engines may have been led to the fake website rather than using the official NYSPO website (see next bullet).
- To ensure your credentials remain safe – ONLY login the right way by entering the direct URL (https://www.osc.ny.gov/state-agencies/payroll/nyspo) or go to osc.ny.gov > NYS Payroll Online > Sign in.
- Not using the correct site could result in your credentials being compromised.
- Out of an abundance of caution, on a temporary basis, employees will only have access to view information in NYSPO and will not be able to make changes (ie, Read-Only access).
- If you were notified of a change that you did not initiate or have any questions, please contact Payroll at 718-270-1139 or email payroll@downstate.edu
