Dr. Suman Ghosh is a pediatric neurologist at Maimonides Medical Center and Associate Professor of Neurology at SUNY Downstate College of Medicine. He joined the faculty in 2022. He specializes in neonatal/pediatric neurocritical care, cerebral palsy, spasticity and brain injury. His research interests are in neurodevelopmental outcomes and brain injury biomarkers for neonatal and pediatric brain injury.

Dr. Ghosh consults on patients with brain injury from their initial hospitalization in the ICU. He continues to work with parents and rehabilitation specialists to optimize their recovery and neurodevelopmental outcomes.

Dr. Ghosh is board certified by the American Board of Neurology and Psychiatry in Child Neurology and Epilepsy. He is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in Pediatrics. He is an active member on national committees for the Child Neurology Society as well as a member of the American Academy of Neurology. He is also an active member of the research community at SUNY Downstate and Maimonides Medical Center.
