$4,265 | A total charge of $4,265 will appear on your student bill. This amount includes the administrative fee charged by SUNY Downstate. |
| Summer 2026 (Jun – Jul 2026) |
$1,225 | New students only starting classes in Summer 2026 only. A total charge of $1,225 will appear on your student bill. This amount includes the administrative fee charged by SUNY Downstate. |
Students may enroll in the Student Health Insurance plan when they are first eligible. Following initial enrollment, students may elect to enroll only on the plan year anniversary date (August 1) or Spring term enrollment (January 1). Please note that the Fall coverage period (included in your Fall charges) is August 1 – December 31 (five months) and the Spring coverage period (included in your Spring charges) is January 1 – July 31 (7 months). New students beginning at Downstate in the Summer semester are charged for two months of coverage in the Summer semester (June 1 – July 31).
