Aleida Llanes-Oberstein, CNM, LM, MS, FACNM was the recipient of the New York University Midwifery Alliance Koko Roy Award for her contributions to the midwifery profession and women's health care. In the award she is described as a legislative warrior, managed care/insurance expert, committed educator and innovator in international health programs.

She now stands with those who manifest the qualities of her mentor, Koko Roy, CNM, MS:
