The division of Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (Urogynecology) includes one attending. Dr. Patricia Gil is a fellowship trained Urogynecologist who specializes in the evaluation and treatment of disorders of the pelvic floor, namely, pelvic organ prolapse, voiding dysfunction (including urinary incontinence, overactive bladder and urinary retention), and vesicovaginal and rectovaginal fistulas. Dr. Gil specializes in advanced laparoscopic surgeries to treat these conditions, in addition to more conservative therapeutic options she is also involved in research and encourages residents to collaborate with her on research projects.
