Overview
The Department of Neurology includes an ACGME accredited fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology. Each year two fellows obtain training with emphasis in EEG / epilepsy, and one fellow trains primarily in neuromuscle disease and EMG.
Fellowship In Clinical Neurophysiology
The Epilepsy Division at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University has been training neurology residents and fellows for nearly four decades. The Clinical Neurophysiology Fellowship Program at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is an ACGME-accredited one-year fellowship with emphasis in either epilepsy / EEG or neuromuscle disease and EMG. Fellows in the epilepsy track obtain extensive experience in evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of people with epilepsy and seizure disorders, including interpretation of EEG and video-EEG studies of patients from all ages, from infants to centenarians.
