Faculty appointments establish an individual's official academic relationship with the College of Medicine. Each appointment is structured to reflect the faculty member's academic responsibilities and anticipated contributions in education, research, clinical care, scholarship, administration, and service.

The Office of Faculty Affairs coordinates appointment activities in collaboration with academic departments, Human Resources, and institutional leadership to ensure appointments are processed in accordance with University policies, College of Medicine procedures, and applicable SUNY requirements.
