Advanced Certificate Program: Women's Health Nurse Practitioner
Admissions Requirements
- Master of Science or doctoral degree from a college or university institutionally accredited and recognized by the Council of Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) such as: the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, the New England Association
of Schools and Colleges, the Higher Learning Commission, the Northwest Commission
on Colleges and Universities, the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, and
the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
- A current, unencumbered New York State R.N. License
- One (1) Letter of Recommendation from a supervisor who can comment on your clinical
abilities and/or your potential success in graduate nursing education is preferred
or a current/former college/university professor.
- A current, unencumbered New York State Advanced Practice Nurse License in Womens Health
Nurse Practitioner (WHNP)
- A current American Heart Association (AHA) card/certificate for BLS for Healthcare Provider or ACLS
- One year clinical experience post baccalaureate degree is preferred
- A cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale is preferred
