Advanced Certificate Program: Nursing Education

Admissions Requirements

  1. Master of Science or doctoral degree in Nursing from a college or university institutionally accredited and recognized by the Council of Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) such as: the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, the Higher Learning Commission, the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities, the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
  2. Evidence of successful completion of graduate level pathophysiology, pharmacology and physical assessment (3'Ps)
  3. A current, unencumbered New York State R.N. License.
  4. A current American Heart Association (AHA) card/certificate for BLS for Healthcare Provider or ACLS
  5. A cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale is preferred
  6. One (1) Letter of Recommendation (a) one from a professional colleague who can comment on your clinical abilities and/or potential for success in graduate Nursing Education or (b) one from a current/former college/university Professor or an employer/supervisor
