Planning
The Office of Planning provides strategic planning and operational support institution wide. Specifically, the Planning Office manages and oversees Downstate’s strategic plan, IMPACT 2030, and the accompanying process. Planning staff provide project management support on a number of initiatives, including the Middle States accreditation renewal and SVP/CAO-led projects, including information management and parking.
For the clinical enterprise, the Planning Office manages the Certificate of Need process required by the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) and runs market share analysis using SPARCS (Statewide Planning and Research Cooperative System) data to inform future clinical programming at University Hospital and its satellite sites.
Lori Bruno, MPH
Lori Bruno, MPH serves as the Assistant Vice President for the Office of Planning. She has a Master’s degree in Public Health and conducted health services research prior to coming to Downstate.
