Happy Holidays & Safety Reminder!

It's that wonderful time of year again when many of us look forward to celebrating the holidays by adding festive decorations to our workspaces and the facility. We absolutely encourage the holiday spirit!

While we enjoy the cheer these decorations bring, it is crucial that we all prioritize fire safety in our workplace.

To ensure a safe and festive environment for everyone, please observe the following necessary precautions when decorating:

• Electrical Safety: Decorative materials must not be placed on light fixtures, electrical equipment, outlets, circuit breaker panels, or any other electrical apparatus.
• Wall/Ceiling/Door Limit: Decorations suspended from or attached to walls, ceilings or doors must not exceed 10% of the total wall or ceiling area.
• Clear Access: Decorations must not obstruct access or visibility to safety equipment, including:
  • Exits and exit signs
  • Fire alarms and alarm panels
  • Fire hoses, fire extinguishers, and sprinkler heads
• Open Flames: Open flames of any type (including candles) are strictly prohibited.
• Corridor Clearance: Decorations or displays must not obstruct any exit corridor, doorway, or stairwell.
