Veneta Callpani, MA, BS, RDMS, is a Clinical Assistant Professor and Assistant Clinical Coordinator in the Department of Diagnostic Medical Imaging at the SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University. She is a graduate of the MCI Institute of Technology in Diagnostic Medical Imaging and is registered in Abdomen and Ob/Gyn. She also has clinical experience in Vascular, Small Parts, Neonatal and Breast sonography. Veneta's clinical teaching responsibilities include Cross Sectional Anatomy of the Abdomen and Pelvis, Scanning Skills Lab, Anatomy for the Sonographer, Sonography I & II and Clinical Internship VI.

Veneta earned her bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Brain Sciences from Lehman College, and is a winner of the 2021 Kane Prize. She received her master's degree from New York University in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness. Her research interests include sonographer burnout, the development of educational programs and interventions to mitigate burnout, and neuroeducation.
