Sharon A. Glick, MD, MS is a Professor of Clinical Dermatology and Pediatrics at the State University of New York (SUNY) Downstate Health Sciences University at Brooklyn, NY and Chairman of the Department of Dermatology. She is Director of Pediatric Dermatology at SUNY Downstate, Kings County Hospital Center and Maimonides Medical Center. Dr. Glick is Residency Program Director at SUNY Health Sciences University. She is a board-certified dermatologist and pediatric dermatologist, and a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Academy of Pediatrics, and Society for Pediatric Dermatology. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Medical Genetics and a member of the Pediatric Dermatology Research Alliance (PeDRA), American Dermatological Association, Association of Professors of Dermatology, International Society for Study of Vascular Anomalies (ISSVA) and the New York Dermatological Society.
Prior to medical school, she earned an MS degree in human genetics from Sarah Lawrence College. Dr. Glick received her MD from Albert Einstein College of Medicine where she was inducted into AOA honor society and received the Janet M. Glasgow Memorial Achievement Citation.
She completed residencies in dermatology and pediatrics at Yale New Haven Hospital.
Her clinical and research interests include pediatric conditions in patients with skin of color, infantile hemangiomas, acne, child abuse, atopic dermatitis and the genodermatoses. Additionally, she has made several films with Rick Guidotti, the founder of Positive Exposure, on infantile hemangiomas and the under representation of skin conditions in patients with skin of color. She is the author of more than 110 peer-reviewed articles, abstracts and book chapters. She currently serves on the editorial board of Pediatric Dermatology.
Dr. Glick is a recipient of the SUNY Chancellors Award for Excellence in Teaching and was the first recipient of the SUNY Residents Alumni Society Award for Excellence in Graduate Medical Education. She has been named as a Castle Connolly top Doctor since 2011.
