Master of Healthcare Administration Manhattan
Our newly renovated extension site, located in midtown Manhattan, is centrally located and readily accessible by almost all NYC subway lines, Grand Central Station, and across the street from Bryant Park, a 9.6-acre park that holds many cultural events. Downstate School of Public Health occupies the 18th floor of the SUNY College of Optometry Building. It is located at 33 W. 42nd St in midtown Manhattan.
Student amenities at the Manhattan extension site include:
- Shared Lobby Seating – The lobby for the SPH floor includes small tables and chairs for student interactions and study.
- Harold Kohn Vision Science Library – Downstate students attending classes at the Manhattan Extension Center will have physical access to the newly renovated 13,895 square foot Harold Kohn Vision Science Library, the largest vision science library in the country. The library is open seven days a week, from 8:00 AM – 10:00 PM Monday – Friday, 10:00 AM – 8:30 PM on Saturday, and 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM on Sunday. Here students have access to electronic databases, interlibrary loan and document delivery services, and full-text articles with over 40,000 volumes in the library’s holdings. Additional resources such as citation guides, copyright guidelines, and statistical resources are also available. Located within the library are a computer lab with PCs for student use during regular library hours, additional iMacs, 2 printing kiosks, a KIC scanner for saving documents to USB drives or other personal devices, 1 copy machine, 6 group study rooms, a large quiet study room with individual study carrels, and a library café which offers beverages and snack items for purchase.
- Private Study and Conference Rooms – Six group study rooms are available by reservation
