Important Information on Pass/Fail Grades & Prerequisites Taken in an Online Format

SUNY Downstate’s Occupational Therapy Program requires letter grades for all pre-requisite grades; however, we understand that many colleges and universities have moved to a pass/fail grading system due to the impact of the coronavirus.  In response, we will accept a maximum of two pass/fail grades taken during the Spring and/or Summer of 2020 for the 2020-2021 program admissions cycle only.   If a pass/fail course is being utilized to fulfill a pre-requisite course it must be accompanied by a letter of academic performance from the course instructor.  If the letter of academic performance is not provided, the program reserves the right to reject the course(s) for admission consideration.
