The interview day consists of 8-10 short interviews. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. A short tour of the department will follow. The day typically starts at 9AM and ends at approximately 3PM.

Rotations are 1-3 months.
Call is taken from home and is relatively light.

Residents are evaluated by their attending both informally and formally through the electronic evaluation program New Innovations.
No, residents are not permitted to moonlight.
Yes. Each resident is assigned to an attending mentor.
No. However, Downstate does offer preliminary positions in medicine and surgery.

There is no off campus housing. Residents Usually live in Brooklyn (Flatbush, Leffert Gardens, Crown Heights, Forte Greene, Downtown Brooklyn) or Manhattan (Financial district)
