Didactics / Research
Didactic Training
Our didactic curriculum covers core topics in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry, including ethical issues, psychological responses to illness, legal issues, and specialized areas such as transplant psychiatry and women’s mental health. Fellows also participate in integrated care didactics and leadership training, preparing them for future roles in academia and clinical leadership. Fellows have a dedicated half-day each week for academic and scholarly pursuits.
Academic Opportunities
Fellows have the opportunity to combine their training with classes in the PhD in Neuroscience or Master’s in Public Health programs at SUNY Downstate, enhancing their academic and research skills.
