SUNY Downstate

SUNY Downstate

Development rotation during Y1 consists of rotating within the Pediatric Neurology clinic, Pediatric Developmental clinic, CMHC and observing young children at a Day Care. The Pediatric neurology and developmental clinics allow fellows to evaluate and treat neurological disorders, learn how to make appropriate referrals and set up early intervention. In CMHC, we learn about the school system and navigating the complexities of interconnected agencies that are involved in providing additional education and care for children with extra needs. Fellows also have the opportunity to observe psychological testing in young children.
