Resident Duty & Supervision
Resident Duty Hours in the Learning and Working Environment:
- We are committed to and responsible for promoting patient safety and resident well-being and to providing a supportive educational environment.
- The learning objectives of the program are not compromised by excessive reliance on residents to fulfill service obligations.
- Didactic and clinical education have priority in the allotment of residents' time and energy.
- Duty hour assignments recognize that faculty and residents collectively have responsibility for the safety and welfare of patients.
Supervision of Residents:
Our program ensures that qualified faculty provide appropriate supervision of residents in patient care activities. There is direct faculty supervision of each resident in all our facilities.
