BSB DCM Heat Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC) Upgrade

The DCM HVAC upgrade project will install new Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) equipment for DCM and Gross Anatomy. Also included in this project is enhanced security cameras in corridors of BSB.

Where are we today:

The Contractor is currently preparing the area to receive new air handling equipment in the BSB East and West Mechanical Equipment Rooms. The contractor is currently making structural modifications to allow anticipated equipment placement in both locations.

Project Goals:

  • Corridors remain open as cameras installed
  • Maintain temperature and humidity in DCM, existing equipment redundancy provides continuous operation, Temporary chiller stays in place, rental taken over by contractor Campus to retain Genesys to monitor, report, solve DCM Mechanical issues resulting from the Project
  • Limit traffic on DCM floors, Specify contractor path of travel and DCM elevator usage off-hours coordinated with DCM deliveries
  • Noise and vibration, Coordinate work as necessary with DCM
  • Drain replacement in IAVI impacts spaces below Off-hours for Staff Floor Occupants, restore room to use by morning, protection of furnishings, cleaning
  • Air handler shut-downs, cutovers Done during intersession period (ADD DATES FOR This time), to be coordinated with Gross Anatomy and DCM

DLAR HVAC Renovations
HM Hughes is the Contractor, awaiting the Notice to Proceed. Contractor anticipated to mobilize in the early Fall 2016.
