As the Assistant Manager of Registration and Scheduling in the Department of Diagnostic Radiology, Miguel ensures that everything runs smoothly from when patients book their appointments, with minimal delays and plenty of support throughout their healthcare experience.

His expertise in insurance verification and authorizations keeps the Radiology Department’s hospital running efficiently and gives patients peace of mind. By handling the often-complicated insurance coverage world, Miguel helps reduce patients’ stress and ensures their treatments and procedures move forward smoothly. His knack for resolving insurance denials and billing issues prevents unexpected out-of-pocket expenses, building trust and transparency.

Customer service is a big part of Miguel’s approach. He ensures that each patient gets personalized attention, clear communication, and efficient service. His commitment to patient satisfaction, reducing wait times, and improving the accuracy of patient information create a positive experience.

Miguel’s background includes hands-on experience and strong academic credentials. He completed a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration and is currently pursuing a dual Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration and Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. His dedication to learning and professional growth is evident in his Certificate in Quality and Safety from the Institute for Healthcare Improvement and his proficiency in healthcare technologies like Evicore, Aim-Carelon, and Fugi RIS.

Before his current role, Miguel was a Financial Analyst in the Patient Access Department, where he handled insurance verification and authorizations, maximizing hospital reimbursement. His experience also includes working with Quality Service for the Autistic Community, where he helped develop programs to support skill development and community integration for patients with developmental disabilities.

Outside of his professional work, Miguel serves as National Operations Director for Gamma Sigma Gamma Fraternity, Incorporated, highlighting his leadership and dedication to community service. His diverse skills, passion for healthcare, and focus on continuous improvement make him a driving force in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
