All of our encounters were screened and registered prior to engaging with our play products or backpack safety education. OT did not conduct any additional assessments. We did encourage registrants to meet with the Pediatrician Service for health screenings.

Heidi WashingtonI wanted to take this time to reach out to you and let you know what a pleasure it was attending the Downstate Community Health Fair, it far surpassed my expectations. Initially I expected to support the Fair by donating bookbags and school supplies which were provided by our parent company, Gateways To Success, Inc. however, not only was I able to do that, but I was able to enjoy the fair as well!
The fair had great food and treats, and I was able to take advantage of health screenings, participated in an exercise group, danced to the music, and the turnout was awesome. I met some well-informed people in their field which opened up opportunity not only to spread awareness of Trendsetters Talk and who we are and what we are doing, but to connect with other community-based organizations and invited them to come onto our platform and inform the community of their works and the population in which they service; which is the primary goal of the Trendsetters Talk platform, to provide information to people in the community about organizations, businesses, entrepreneurs and local leaders about the programs they provide and what they’re doing in the community how people will be able to get in contact with them to utilize their resources.
As a result, 3 organizations have since reached out to us and expressed an interest of coming on our platform to talk about their program and what they do. I even connected with the office of the Assemblywoman Monique Chandler-Waterman, who showed up in support of the event as well. Can’t wait until next year.
