The mission of University Hospital of Brooklyn Center for Community Health Promotion & Wellness is to promote health education as an integral part of the hospital and as a focal point of community health. As a University Hospital, it is our mission to be a leader in health education, targeted towards three specific audiences:

  • The patient and family
  • Personnel, Staff, Volunteers, and Trustees
  • The community at large

Cancer Screenings

FREE Cancer Screenings for New York residents with no health insurance and for those who are under-insured!

WOMEN who meet the eligibility criteria

  • Clinical Breast Exam (CBE) (ages 40–75)
  • Mammogram (ages 40–75)
  • Pap and HPV Test (ages 40–65)

MEN and WOMEN (ages 50–75)

  • Receive the take home Colon Cancer FIT Kit Test
