SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University’s Brooklyn Free Clinic is presenting a TEDMED Live Conference, Saturday, April 20, 2013 at the Gowanus Ballroom, 55 9th Street (between 2nd Avenue and Smith Street), Brooklyn, NY 11215.
The event takes place from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM and will feature talks from local leaders in health, education, communication, and
policy.
Presentations at The Brooklyn Free Clinic’s TEDMED Live Conference will focus on three
areas:
Education and Communication: How can medical education and communication impact the
future of our healthcare system?
Issues with Access: How is access to healthcare changing, and how will it affect medicine?
Translating Evidence into Action: How is technology changing the healthcare experience?
The Brooklyn Free Clinic is a student-run clinic for the uninsured. Care is provided
