Dr. Wayland Wu trained in urologic surgery at the Smith Institute for Urology at Long Island Jewish Medical Center prior to heading to Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. There he completed his fellowship under the mentorship of Dr. John P. Gearhart.
His clinical interest includes minimally invasive surgery, complex lower urinary tract reconstruction, and pediatric stone disease. In addition to his devotion to treating children afflicted with urologic anomalies, he is a passionate educator who was honored by the urology department at Johns Hopkins as the fellow teacher of the year.
He currently serves as Assistant Professor of Urology and Pediatrics at Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra and an adjunct Assistant Professor with the Urology Department at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University.
