Ashley Grosso, PhD

Dr. Ashley Grosso is a Visiting Associate Professor in the Division of Infectious Diseases in the Department of Medicine. Dr. Grosso received her undergraduate degree from Seton Hall University and her graduate degrees from the New School and Rutgers University.

She conducts research on adolescent key populations at risk for HIV in sub-Saharan Africa, including youth who sell sex and young men who have sex with men. Her research in the United States is focused on evaluating the effects of state-level school-based sex education policies and practices on youth risk behaviors and health outcomes. She is also evaluating the use of Photovoice as an intervention to reduce stigma toward LGBTQ+ people and people living with HIV.
