Saren Ahearn, PT, DPT graduated Magna Cum Laude from the State University of New York Upstate Medical University with a Master's degree in Physical Therapy and a transitional Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. She has over 10 years' experience as a staff and senior physical therapist, with extensive experience treating patients with a variety of cardiopulmonary conditions in acute, rehab and outpatient settings, as well as patients with neurological and musculoskeletal conditions. Her teaching experience involves clinical education of physical therapy students and orientation and training of physical therapy staff members. She developed research experience during her DPT program through completion of a case study examining physical therapy intervention for obesity in a patient with developmental coordination disorder. She is currently examining health and wellness issues in her research at SUNY Downstate. Her teaching responsibilities include Cardiovascular/Pulmonary Physical Therapy, Patient/Client Management II, and Administration and Supervision in PT.
