Personal Statement

Vikram (he/him/his) is a licensed and registered occupational therapist from New York City.  As a Certified Autism Specialist (CAS) and Board-Certified Tele-Practice Specialist (BCTS), Vikram is well versed with the rehabilitative application of assistive technologies within an array of clinical practice areas for individuals across the lifespan. Vikram’s advanced clinical background includes specialized practice within the Department of Veterans Affairs hospitals for Veterans with progressive neurological conditions and as a licensed Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) with pediatric clients with mobility, positioning and communication needs.

As a dedicated educator and stakeholder, Vikram pursues his passion for education through instructing Theory & Practice: School Aged Pediatrics, Foundations I and the Assistive Technology course within the core curriculum at SUNY Downstate, serves as a Master’s Research Project advisor and contributes annually to the NBCOT prep course at Downstate.
