Ida Askew-Stevens

Ida Askew-Stevens is the Office Manager in the Administrative office of Family & Community Medicine. She joined SUNY Downstate Health Science University in 2000, the department of Family Medicine in 2004.  Ms. Askew-Stevens primarily supports the Department Chairperson in carrying out responsibilities related to the day-to-day administration of the department. She is also the Clerkship Coordinator for Family Medicine and is responsible for the MS3 Clerkship students’ schedules, weekly quiz exams, lecture schedules as well as MS4 schedule for student going to Suite B. Ms. Askew-Stevens is also the site Coordinator for the department’s Continuing Medical Education (CME) Program. As such she is responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

In her free time Ms. Askew-Stevens enjoys getting together with family and friends. She also enjoys cooking, painting, knitting, reading, listening to music, puzzle solving, taking long walks and people watching.
