Dr. Benabbas, M.D., is an Assistant Professor and assistant director of research in the Department of Emergency Medicine. She earned her medical degree from Tehran University of Medical Sciences. She completed her residency at Kings County Hospital Center and SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University, where she served as Chief Resident.

Dr. Benabbas's research focuses on emergency department operations, diagnostic modalities, and clinical outcomes. She has been recognized with several awards, including the Resident Academic Achievement Award from the Council of Residency Directors in Emergency Medicine (CORD) and an ARMED Scholarship from the Society of Academic Emergency Medicine (SAEM).
