
Kristina Derrick, MD, ScM

Dr. Kristina Derrick is a double-board certified dermatologist and pediatric dermatologist who treats patients of all ages. She serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University. Dr. Derrick earned her Bachelor of Arts in Public Health and a Master of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Johns Hopkins University. She graduated from the University of Nebraska College of Medicine and completed a residency in Pediatrics at the University of California, Davis. Following that, she undertook a pediatric endocrinology fellowship at Children’s Hospital at Montefiore, where she practiced for several years.
Dr. Derrick then completed a pediatric dermatology clinical research fellowship at SUNY Downstate, where she served as a sub-investigator and study coordinator for various pharmaceutical clinical trials and multi-center studies. She continued her training at SUNY Downstate with a dermatology residency. Due to her strong pediatric background and love for treating children, she pursued an additional year of training in a pediatric dermatology fellowship. She is one of the few board-certified pediatric dermatologists in the New York City region.
Dr. Derrick enjoys teaching residents and caring for patients with various skin conditions.
