James Gerontzos, MBA has been appointed Director of Marketing in the Office of Communications and Marketing. He will work closely with both the clinical and academic enterprises of Downstate to identify and create comprehensive internal and external marketing strategies designed to promote this institution.
James established his career in the pharmaceutical industry where he managed national brands around the globe. He later took a leap into healthcare, where he worked for academic medical centers in New York City including Montefiore Health System and Mount Sinai Health System. He earned his MBA from St. John’s University.
