Sayan Kaishibayev, MD is a graduate Medical School in Kazakhstan and completed his clinical residency in neurosurgery at the Russian Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education in Moscow. He has authored articles and co-authored educational programs designed to train physicians in diagnosing neurological disorders utilizing the latest available technology, treatment algorithms, prophylactic measures, and rehabilitation. He has been a recipient of a research grant from Takeda Pharmaceutical to found a cross-platform mobile application designed as a tool for neurologists, neurosurgeons, vascular surgeons, general physicians, radiologists, and all other specialists who deal with post-stroke patients.

A medical professional with 5 years of experience in neurosurgery performing emergency and non-emergency operations (neurotrauma and critical care patients), who maintains composure and focus even in the most difficult and stressful circumstances. Experienced in program evaluation and quality improvement programming throughout my career as a physician and in my current position at SUNY Downstate. I am engaged in ongoing coursework on program evaluation to advance my acumen as a data scientist

A five-year award to enhance interprofessional geriatrics education and healthcare in the Brooklyn, NY. This program targets healthcare trainees across the professions and Brooklyn’s primary care providers.
