
Andrew Kamrouz, MD, MPH

Dr. Kamrouz graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in Health Promotion and Disease Prevention Studies and a minor in neuroscience. He went on to earn a Master of Public Health degree with an emphasis in epidemiology at USC before attending medical school at St. George’s University School of Medicine. He began his general surgery training at Lincoln Medical Center in the Bronx before entering a one-year research fellowship in the Division of Trauma at LAC-Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, where his work focused on liver trauma and necrotizing soft tissue infections. He completed his general surgery training at HCA Bayonet Point. Following residency, Dr. Kamrouz completed a fellowship in Liver Transplantation and Hepatopancreatobiliary Surgery at the Lahey Clinic.
Dr. Kamrouz is passionate about surgical education, and has received teaching awards from medical students and residents. He has served on various surgical quality committees, and has presented and published research on hepatic injuries and biliary complications, necrotizing soft tissue infections, and liver transplantation. His clinical interests include general surgery, kidney and liver transplantation, and incorporating robotic surgery into transplant and HPB surgery.
