Dr. Constantin’s primary research agenda centers on policy evaluation to address two critical public health issues: maternal and child health, and substance misuse. Utilizing a broad range of large-scale data sources—including vital statistics, surveys, and administrative claims—her research applies principles of health economics and microeconomic theory, combined with advanced econometric methods focused on causal inference. Her work examines the impact of various health and economic policies on access to and utilization of health services, as well as health outcomes, with particular attention to racial and ethnic inequities. Dr. Constantin’s research transcends clinical care settings, promoting interdisciplinary collaboration across the social and medical sciences, with the ultimate aim of informing more equitable and effective health systems and policies.
