Melissa Remy serves as the Billing Manager and Office Coordinator for University Physicians of Brooklyn within the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences, where she oversees billing operations, insurance processes, and front-office administration. She brings extensive experience in medical billing, coding, patient coordination, and healthcare operations, with specialized expertise in ICD-10 and CPT coding, claims management, insurance verification, and revenue cycle optimization.  

As a Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Melissa works closely with providers and staff to ensure accurate documentation, regulatory compliance, and efficient reimbursement processes. She is dedicated to delivering exceptional patient service while supporting the department's commitment to high-quality behavioral health care.

Melissa earned her Medical Billing and Coding Certificate from SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University and holds CCS certification through AHIMA
