Lee Kaplowitz, MD

Dr. Kaplowitz graduated from University at Buffalo, trained in otolaryngology at Downstate Medical Center, and completed a fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center. His clinical interests include functional and cosmetic nasal surgery. Dr. Kaplowitz received the Outstanding Teacher Award from the graduating class of 2021. His clinical practice is based at Maimonides Medical Center where he trains SUNY Downstate Otolaryngology interns and residents in facial plastic surgery including rhinoplasty, septoplasty, nasal valve repair, nasal reconstruction, head and neck reconstruction, as well as a breadth of facial plastic/ otolaryngologic procedures. His interests outside of his professional practice includes playing guitar and fishing.
