Ozgul Muneyyirci-Delale, MD, MS, PhD

Dr. Muneyyirci-Delale is Board-Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and is also Certified in Reproductive Endocrinology. She completed her training at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University and Kings County Hospital Center.  Currently, she serves as the Professor and Director of the Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Division at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University.

Dr. Delale’s thesis is focused on stress hyperprolactinemia. She has been a faculty member at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University since 1980. Dr. Muneyyirci-Delale teaches medical students, physician assistants, fellows and faculty as well as offers electives from SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University and other medical schools. Many students and residents seek her guidance on research topics which leads to published research results with her collaboration. Numerous residents and students have pursued research topics related to reproductive endocrinology and gynecology and have presented their findings at conferences such as ACOG, ASRM, and SRI.

She receives referrals for various conditions which include amenorrhea, premature ovarian insufficiency, menopausal symptoms and abnormal bleeding from different causes. She also manages anovulation, leiomyomata, uterine polyps, adenomyosis, and provides long-term treatment for severe endometriosis to prevent multiple procedures and related complications. Additionally, she treats proximal tubal obstruction medically and manages prolactinomas in the long term. Other conditions she addresses include Sheehan syndrome, pituitary insufficiency, Müllerian agenesis, gonadal dysgenesis, transverse vaginal septum, testicular feminization, delayed puberty, and polycystic ovarian syndrome.
