Dr. Geetha Chari completed medical school and general pediatrics residency in Mumbai, India.  She then came to SUNY Downstate where she completed training in Pediatric Neurology, followed by fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology with a primary focus on EEG and Epilepsy.

Dr. Chari has been involved in NIH-funded studies related to EEG in neonates and EEG in the emergency room.  Dr. Chari has been a member of the clinical faculty in Pediatric Neurology and Epilepsy for over 24 years, and the program director for the Clinical Neurophysiology fellowship for nearly 2 decades.  Her main interests are in Pediatric Epilepsy, Neonatal seizures, and EEG monitoring.
