Isaiah Marshall-Thomas is the Coordinator for Special Programs for the Department of Medical Education. In this role, Isaiah manages programming and operations for the College of Medicine's Office of Career Advising, assists with strategic planning for new degree programs in the College of Medicine, and provides administrative support for the Office for Institutional Equity.
Isaiah began his Downstate career while he was a graduate student at Downstate's School of Public Health, working as a Staff Assistant for Downstate's COVID-19 Response Team from 2020-2021. In this role, Isaiah assisted with testing and contact tracing initiatives for the Downstate campus and provided daily testing reports for the Campus Safety Monitor. After graduating from the School of Public Health, Isaiah accepted a role as Administrative Fellow for Downstate's Office of the President from 2021-2024. In this role, Isaiah served as special assistant to President Wayne J. Riley and provided support for members of the Executive Management Council. At the conclusion of his fellowship, Isaiah transitioned to his current role in the Department of Medical Education and Office for Institutional Equity.
Isaiah earned a Master of Public Health with a concentration in Health Policy and Management from SUNY Downstate's School of Public Health, and a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Tufts University.
