She serves as the Senior Associate Dean of Assessment and Quality Improvement and has developed extensive assessment protocols, including simulation activities, ensured compliance with Middle States, and LCME accreditation requirements, and designed and implemented a large-scale CQI initiative, which tracks all school progress, including efforts made in fulfilling the Strategic Plan. She is a member of the Dean’s Council for Education, Strategic Planning Committee, and Learning Environment Committee and chairs both the Student Assessment Committee and the Academic Technology Steering Committee.
Dr. Granat is an evaluator for the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE), and to date, and has served on site teams reviewing four institutions. She is a member of the Board of Directors of International Association of Medical Science Educators (IAMSE), and participates in various national conferences. In 2020, Dr. Granat was invited to write a chapter, in a text edited by colleagues from Cornell University, entitled US Medical School Accreditation: Approach and Process. The book was published in 2020.
