Dr. Apostol received his MD from University of Medicine Carol Davilla, Bucharest, Romania, and completed his training in Anesthesiology at multiple institutions including Brown University, Downstate, and McMasters University. He is board-certified in Anesthesiology and Pediatric Anesthesia.
Dr. Apostol started at Downstate as a faculty member in 2000 and he is currently a Clinical Professor of Anesthesiology and served as the Director of Anesthesia at SUNY Downstate at Bay Ridge. Previously was the Director of Anesthesia at University Hospital at Downstate. Also served as Clinical Director of Anesthesia at SUNY Downstate. And before that he was Director of Obstetric anesthesia at Kings County Hospital.
Dr. Apostol was very active in clinical Research and had exceptional teaching skills to train his residents to the point that he received multiple awards as The Teacher of The Year for four consecutive years.
