Finding a therapist might be challenging enough – having to figure out reimbursement all while managing your clinical duties is unnecessary stress! Below is information regarding reimbursement for Downstate pay-source versus Kings County pay-source residents/fellows.

Downstate, UUP

NYSHIP, Empire Plan:

Once your deductible is met, you are eligible for reimbursement of 80% of the allowed rate (please confirm this amount with your insurance carrier as it varies by geographical area).

Kings County, CIR

The Plan will reimburse 80% of the reasonable and customary provider for a maximum reimbursement of $160 per visit.

The Plan will reimburse up to a $5,000 per person, per benefit year.
