All MONTHLY parkers @ ALL parking lots must have an online Parking portal account. Login to your portal account (link), Monthly Parking Portal Instructions (link).

Your invoice is posted to your portal account on 1st day of each month.  If unpaid by 15th day of each month, your monthly parking subscription will be cancelled and you will lose your parking seniority and privileges. You will then need to send eMail to ParkingWaitList@downstate.edu to have your name added to the bottom of the monthly parking waiting list.

To pay an invoice on your account, Login to your Customer Parking Portal (link). open the new invoice and click on the "PAY Now" button to add your payment method (credit/debit card or bank account).  Cash payments accepted at Bookstore.

Where do I put my parking sticker?parking sticker placement Replacement stickers or additional stickers for alternative additional vehicles on your parking portal record are obtained from the Downstate Parking Office.  

Monthly parkers (all lots) who arrive at their assigned lot when there are no available self-parking spaces available (capacity), the parking attendant will direct you to an alternate lot location, or attendant may be able to offer the option to leave your car keys (valet style) so that your vehicle can be moved if blocking other vehicles that need to leave. A no-charge claim check ticket is issued to you.  

  • Monthly Parking Waiting List:To add your name to the Monthly Parking Wait List send eMail to: parkingwaitlist@downstate.edu 
  • Monthly Parking Lot Transfers: Current Monthly Customers requesting Lot Transfers: send eMail to parking@downstate.edu . The Downstate Parking Office: when a monthly space vacancy becomes available, requested lot transfers are filled first; remaining vacancies are then filled from the general monthly parking wait list. Be sure to check your Downstate email regularly. Parking Office solicitations to fill all remaining monthly parking vacancies are sent solely via email and include the deadline by which you must reply. As a reminder, if you are offered a monthly parking lot assignment and you do not respond or accept the offer by the deadline given, your current position on the wait list reverts to the bottom of the wait list.

Please Report any Kiosk Machine problem to 718-270-2900. Most frequent cause of Kiosk outages is pulling out your credit card too early... Please wait for the 'remove card' message to appear on the screen!

When dropping your vehicle off at hospital front door valet, or upon entering the 324 Winthrop lot, attendant will issue you a claim check ticket. Before retrieving your vehicle, you must make your DAILY parking payment. Kiosks accept major credit cards, and Cash ($1,$5, $10 and $20 bills). The QR bar code on the claim check ticket is used to activate the kiosk.

If you use the VALET service, when you make your kiosk payment, take your receipt to show valet attendant. When ready to pickup your vehicle, call 718-270-8800 to alert attendants to start vehicle retrieval process.

 

Smartphone payment instructions: If you have a smart phone, you can make your payment online:

iPhone cameras (IOS version 11 or above) will auto-recognize the QR bar code on your claim check and open the payment portal where you enter your payment method.

Android phone cameras Search your App Store and download any "QR BAR CODE READER App". Open that App and your phone’s camera will then recognize the QR bar code on your claim check ticket will open the payment portal where you enter your payment method.

 

MONTHLY Parking customers: Credit Card and eCheck payments use your online Monthly Parking Customer Portal (link)Cash MONTHLY payments are accepted at the University Bookstore.

Front Door Valet: at 445 Lenox Rd. Hospital Main Entrance

Temporarily suspended during COVID19 period

Hours: Available Weekdays 6am to 6pm (except holidays), and subject to daily capacity.

Rate$20./day

Payment: payment is made anytime prior to pickup at the Parking Kiosks

When leaving, call 15 mins in advance to ext 8800 (718-270-8800) to expedite your vehicle retrieval.

Late Vehicle Pick Ups: You must have your parking claim ticket and valid ID!

After 6pm and before 10pm, go directly to 355 Lenox Rd parking lot where you can retrieve your car and keys. The 355 Lenox Rd parking lot closes at 10pm.

After 10pm: Call Downstate University Police at 718-270-2626. UPolice will assist you with picking up your keys at the Kings County Parking Garage Office (inside the 581 Clarkson Ave Garage), then to the 355Lenox Rd parking lot to retrieve your vehicle.

225 Clarkson Ave Parking lot for MONTHLY Parkers

Hours: Open 6am to 10pm Monday to Friday, except holidays, and subject to daily lot capacity.

Rate: $90/month

Payments: Due on 1st of each month via the online Customer Parking Portal. Monthly parking customer cash payments will continue to be accepted at the University Bookstore

Late Vehicle Pick Ups after 10pm: Call Downstate University Police at 718-270-2626. UPolice will assist you with retrieving your vehicle. You must have valid Downstate ID.

324 Winthrop St Parking Lot for DAILY and MONTHLY Parkers

Hours: Open 5am to 10pm Monday to Friday, except holidays, and subject to daily capacity.

Car entrance: 324 Winthrop St. between New York Avenue and Nostrand Avenue. Pedestrians can also access the lot from Winthrop Street or Parkside Avenue.

Payments 

MONTHLY Parking: Rate $90./month. Due on 1st of each month via the online Customer Parking Portal. Monthly parking customer cash payments will continue to be accepted at the University Bookstore

DAILY parking: Rate is $10. per day. Downstate ID Card required and subject to daily lot capacity.

First 100 Downstate ID card holders, subject to lot capacity will receive a Parking Claim Check ticket from the parking attendant upon entry. Your claim check is important since you need it to access payment options: Customers must to pay the daily fee online via smart phone or at one of the two Parking Kiosks (link for more detail).

329 Clarkson Ave Garage for MONTHLY Parkers

 

Hours: Open 6am to 10pm Monday to Friday, except holidays, and subject to lot capacity.

Rate:  $160./month. 

PaymentsDue on 1st of each month via the online Customer Parking PortalMonthly parking customer cash payments will continue to be accepted at the University Bookstore. .

355 Lenox Rd Parking Lot for MONTHLY Parkers

Hours: Open 6am to 10pm Monday to Friday, except holidays and subject to daily lot capacity.

Rate: $90/month.

Payments: Due on 1st of each month via the online Customer Parking Portal. Monthly parking customer cash payments will continue to be accepted at the University Bookstore

711 Parkside Ave Parking Lot for MONTHLY parkers

A very small parking lot in front of the Hosptial Finance building

Hours: Open 6am to 7pm Monday to Friday, except holidays, and subject to daily lot capacity.

Rate: $90/month. 

Payments: continue to made at the Downstate Bursar's Office until otherwise instructed. Bursar's Office online payment option (link) is available only to those authorized for this lot.

Due on 1st of each month via the online Customer Parking Portal. Monthly parking customer cash payments will continue to be accepted at the University Bookstore

Late Vehicle Pick Ups after 7pm: Call Downstate University Police at 718-270-2626. UPolice will assist you with retrieving your vehicle. You must have valid Downstate ID.

581 Clarkson Ave Garage for MONTHLY Parkers

Kings County Parking Garage.

Downstate will be provided 50 Kings County Parking garage access cards that Downstate Parking Office will distribute to those authorized monthly parkers assigned to this location.

Hours: 24 hours.

Rate: $160./month

Payments: Due on 1st of each month via the online Customer Parking Portal. Monthly parking customer cash payments will be accepted at the University Bookstore.

KCH Access Card Replacement: Send Card Replacement Request eMail (link) . Customer can pick up new card at Downstate Parking office. Customer will be billed the card replacement fee on their Parking Portal account for payment.

If and when you STOP your KCH location monthly parking, you must return your KCH Access Card to the Downstate Parking Office 

600 Albany Ave Parking Lot for MONTHLY Parkers

Kings County Parking Lot - entrance is on Albany Ave at Hawthorne St.

Downstate will be provided 150 Kings County Parking lot access cards that Downstate Parking Office will distribute to those authorized monthly parkers assigned to this location.

Hours: staffed Mon-Fri 6am-10pm; Card access 24hrs.

Rate: $90./month.

Payments: Due on 1st of each month via the online Customer Parking PortalMonthly parking customer cash payments will be accepted at the University Bookstore

Your access card provides your ability to enter/exit during off hours (no staff on duty at the lot). If your vehicle is blocked by a valet customer vehicle, you need to call the Kings County Parking Garage Office 718-245-5337 to assist in moving the vehicle that is blocking your car.

KCH Access Card Replacement: Send Card Replacement Request eMail (link). Customer can pick up new card at Downstate Parking office. Customer will be billed the card replacement fee on their Parking Portal account for payment.

If and when you STOP your KCH location monthly parking, you must return your KCH Access Card to the Downstate Parking Office
