05/01/2026 11:51:32 AMAt Downstate, the Local “University Senate” is called the “Downstate Assembly of the Faculty and Professional Staff (DAFPS).” Matters of concern to the faculty and staff are to be relayed to this committee for consideration. There is an Executive Committee of 24 members. This committee includes the Presiding Officer (PO), PO Elect, and Secretary of the DAFPS, four University Senators and four Alternate Senators, all of whom are all elected by the Full Assembly.
